Case study

Construction site deliveries

Timed material drops and site zoning for active building projects.

Active construction sites needed safer material flow, delivery slots, and POD that supported site progress reporting.

Challenge

Materials scattered at gate lines created safety risks and crane delays. Deliveries overlapped without a single site contact, and POD did not support progress documentation for site managers.

Flatbed and oversize items were booked without ground condition notes.

Approach

Delivery slots, mapped drop zones, and mandatory receiver sign-off were implemented. Flatbed requirements and crane windows were captured at booking.

Drivers call ahead when access changes due to weather or concurrent trades on site.

Outcome

Cleaner circulation paths and fewer lost hours waiting for re-deliveries. POD supports site progress records with location context on photos where agreed.

Re-deliveries dropped after drop zones were marked on the first week of the program.

Services used

Tail-lift & handling, metro freight, and proof of delivery.
