Regional delivery windows in NSW

Matching receiver availability with realistic transit plans.

Windows are operational agreements

A regional delivery window is when a vehicle can arrive, unload, and obtain clear proof of delivery—not a generic transit promise. Windows depend on linehaul departure, distance, road conditions, and receiver availability.

Receiver data that matters

Capture opening hours, appointment rules, gate codes, tail-lift needs, and contact names for restricted access. Unannounced closures or narrow windows cause re-deliveries that booking notes could have prevented.

Aligning sender and receiver expectations

Share the agreed window with receivers so labour is available. If the receiver requires booking slots, state slot reference at booking. For unmanned sites, document drop rules and POD requirements explicitly.

Working with regional runs

Regional runs are planned around this data. Review windows when seasons change—arvest, retail peaks, and holiday hours shift receiver capacity quickly.

Update receiver master data when stores change hours or appoint a new site manager. Regional performance improves when booking notes mirror what drivers experience on the ground.
